The Kids Research Institute Australia is recruiting for a Project Coordinator - Indigenous Genomics.
The Indigenous Genomics team and their collaborators work towards advancing the benefits of genomic medicine for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through the Australian Alliance for Indigenous Genomics (ALIGN). ALIGN is a national network with six jurisdictional nodes. The WA node is based at The Kids Research Institute Australia in Perth, and has a focus on rare diseases.
Reporting to the Director of First Nations Strategy and Leadership and closely working with the ALIGN Operations Manager, the Project Coordinator will contribute to:
The ongoing support of local Indigenous governance structures.
The development of local and national Indigenous genomic and rare diseases policies.
The co-design of an evaluation and impact framework to measure the node’s progress.
The coordination of capacity building initiatives with our stakeholders.
Financial and budget management.
It’s a full time role until May 2027. Part-time may be considered for the right candidate.
