Play School’s Kiya doll
Meet Kiya – Celebrating Noongar Culture Through Our ABC Partnership
SWALSC is proud to continue its partnership with the ABC through Kiya, a special doll that celebrates Noongar culture, identity and storytelling.
As a proud Noongar doll, Kiya represents the importance of cultural connection, visibility and belonging for our children and future generations. Through this partnership, we are helping share Noongar culture in a meaningful and engaging way, ensuring our stories, people and identity are celebrated.
Kiya is now wearing a beautiful new outfit designed by Noongar artist Buffie Punch, in collaboration with Deadly Denim. This unique design celebrates Noongar creativity, culture and the strength of Aboriginal businesses and artists, bringing cultural pride to life through fashion and storytelling.
SWALSC is excited to make Kiya available for purchase, giving families, children and supporters the opportunity to welcome a little piece of Noongar culture into their homes.
Through our partnership with the ABC, Kiya continues to be a symbol of cultural pride, representation and the importance of seeing our culture reflected in the stories and experiences of our children.
