The University of Western Australia (UWA) is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Indigenous Higher Degree by Research and Postgraduate.
This identified position provides leadership and coordination to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Higher Degree by Research (HDR) and postgraduate pathways. Working within the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Education, the role supports implementation of UWA’s Indigenous Education Strategy and strengthens inclusive, culturally safe academic environments. Reporting to the Manager of Indigenous Student Services, the Senior Coordinator will guide the development of HDR policies and practices that support student retention, supervision, and success.
The role works in close partnership with UWA Schools, researchers, and support teams to deliver targeted initiatives and to embed Indigenous research protocols and engagement across the university. It also plays a key role in training HDR supervisors and supporting students through culturally responsive mentoring and academic guidance.
This is a full-time position based in Perth, offered on a 36-month fixed-term contract. The annual salary range is $116,262 to $127,078 per annum, plus superannuation.
