Aboriginal Student Engagement Officer
This role proactively works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through a case management approach to provide intervention strategies for improved engagement and retention for successful academic outcomes.
The Aboriginal Student Engagement Officer works with a range of internal and external stakeholders to review data and identify barriers and develop best practice, effective solutions for the College’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
It’s a 12-month fixed-term role with the possibility of extension or permanency. The annual salary range is $95,782 to $100,526 plus generous work benefits.

Aboriginal Support Officer
In this position you will be responsible for providing a range of support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to assist them in their studies at South Metropolitan TAFE.
The Aboriginal Support Officer coordinates student study support needs, mentors students, collaborates with lecturing and other support staff and liaison with government and community agencies where appropriate.
Applications are encouraged from people interested in full-time employment. Suitable applicants will be placed in the appointment pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise up to 24 months from first appointment.
The annual salary range is $86,439 to $92,795 plus generous work benefits.
