DPC: Various roles

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is recruiting for the following three roles in the Native Title Act Future Acts Unit.


Principal Policy Officer

The Principal Policy Officer, Advisory and Negotiations leads the development and delivery of strategic projects, policy outcomes, and provides WA Government agencies with guidance and support in relation to future act matters.

This role will lead and contribute to complex future act negotiations in collaboration with key state government, private and community stakeholders, and develop and implement collaborative strategies that require resolution across agencies and facilitate coordination of future acts matters.

It’s a permanent full time role, based in Perth. The annual salary range is $139,860 to 149,485.

Project Officer

The Project Officer assists in the management of projects, or components of complex projects, to support the Unit’s role in providing leadership, coordination, and advice on Native Title Act future act matters.

It’s a permanent full time role, based in Perth. The annual salary range is $105,167 to $114,938.

Principal Legal Officer

The Principal Legal officer undertakes early assessment of future act notifications received by the Native Title Act Future Acts Unit and provides legal services, including preparing, researching and providing preliminary legal advice on Native Title Act future Act notifications. This position also provides legal input to assist in the development of policy.

The position also provides legal advice to assist in determining an appropriate level of oversight and approvals, and in the development of engagement strategies and negotiation parameters.

It’s a permanent full time role, based in Perth. The annual salary range is $146,998 to $157,135.
