Dept of Justice: Senior Aboriginal Advisory Officer

The Department of Justice is recruiting for a Senior Aboriginal Advisory Officer.

The Senior Aboriginal Advisory Officer (Higher Courts) is responsible for providing a high level of services and accurate information to Aboriginal court users that contribute to an efficient, effective and more culturally responsive court service.

The position is key in developing strategies and processes to educate the Aboriginal community about the operations of the State Administrative Tribunal and the Family Court of Western Australia (FCWA) and explaining rights, obligations, court procedures and protocols in language that Aboriginal people can understand and in ways that alters Aboriginal people's perceptions about court systems.

It’s a full-time role based in Perth. The annual salary range is $105,167 to $114,938 plus superannuation.
