Cyrenian House: Aboriginal Support Worker

Cyrenian House is recruiting for an Aboriginal Support Worker (female) - Rick Hammersley Therapeutic Community.

The Aboriginal Support Worker will provide yarning, mentoring, interactive therapeutic activities, education, mediation, and support staff members and residents in a residential alcohol and other drug treatment setting. The key focus is in providing appropriate support to female residents of the Saranna and Gnangara Programs that operate at the Rick Hammersley Therapeutic Community facility.

The Aboriginal Support Worker will also foster connections with local Aboriginal Elders and communities, ensuring culturally appropriate support and engagement.

It’s a part time role (38hrs/fortnight) based in Cullacabardee. The hourly rate is $47.16 to $55.70 plus superannuation and salary packaging.

Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under section 50d of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).
