Wungening Aboriginal Corporation is recruiting for Women’s Refuge Support Workers.
Reporting to the Coordinator Wooree Miya, Support Workers will assist with providing intensive support and holistic care for women and their children living in the refuge.
Support Workers will work to engage women and their children in providing a range of support, advocacy and referral services. Work to ensure an integrated response to the needs of the women and children and support the team to engage families in a meaningful way, while providing practical and daily living support.
Support Workers will demonstrate empathy and use interpersonal skills to provide culturally safe support. An understanding of Aboriginal values, norms and family structures will ensure the service promotes self-determination and participation in all aspects of service delivery.
These are casual roles working on a roster including evenings and weekends, based in Boorloo/Perth. The annual salary is $74,137.04 ($38.02/hour plus casual loading).
