WAPOL: Assistant Director Aboriginal Affairs Division

Western Australia Police Force is recruiting an Assistant Director – Aboriginal Affairs Division (50D Identified).

The Assistant Director provides strategic leadership to the Aboriginal Affairs Division, guiding its mission to strengthen relationships between the WA Police Force and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The role supports the development and integration of culturally appropriate practices, training, and initiatives across the organisation, ensuring engagement is built on respect, cultural understanding, and community priorities.

The position is responsible for stakeholder engagement, team leadership, risk forecasting, and delivering improved cultural outcomes in line with agency values. It plays a critical role in supporting inclusion, community collaboration, and long-term cultural change within policing operations.

This is a full-time position based in Perth. The annual salary range is $157,900 to $171,005 plus superannuation.
