The Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) is recruiting for an Assistant Director within the Aboriginal Affairs Coordination Unit.
This role sits within the Aboriginal Affairs Coordination Unit which provides a central advisory role on issues affecting outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities, including Closing the Gap and Native Title.
The Assistant Director will:
Provide strategic leadership in the development and review of Aboriginal policies, strategies, frameworks and reforms, ensuring outcomes that support Closing the Gap, sustainability, and value for money.
Lead meaningful engagement with Aboriginal stakeholders and key government agencies, building strong relationships and ensuring Aboriginal voices inform government decision making.
Cultivate a high performing, collaborative team culture by empowering staff, encouraging innovation and fresh thinking, and promoting open communication to support strong, sustainable team outcomes.
It’s a permanent full time role based in Boorloo/Perth. The annual salary range is $157,900 to $171,005 plus superannuation.
