DPLH: First Nations Australians Planning Program - Principal Policy Officer

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) is recruiting for a First Nations Australians Planning Program - Principal Policy Officer (50D).

The Principal Policy Officer will join the Land Use Planning Division in the Regional North Directorate. The role will work directly with First Nations communities, Prescribed Body Corporates and local services and help shape community infrastructure, development plans and governance strategies that reflect long-term goals for sustainability and cultural integrity.

The Officer will collaborate with local governments to improve planning processes and policies, build effective partnerships, collaborate and consult with Government, agencies, community service providers and citizens in regional and remote WA.

It’s a fixed term role and the annual salary range is $139,860 to $149,485 (PSCSAA 2024, Level 7).

First Nations Australian candidates with strong cultural knowledge, who are able to embed knowledge of Country into the land use planning system are encouraged to apply.
