The Department of Education is recruiting for an Aboriginal Student Support Officer, commencing Term 4, 2025.
The culturally responsive Aboriginal Student Support Officer will enhance the wellbeing, engagement, and success of Aboriginal students. This role works closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to deliver effective support strategies and culturally appropriate interventions that strengthen connections between students, their families, the school, and the wider community.
The Aboriginal Student Support Officer will contribute to case management, provide social and emotional support, and assist in crisis response, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment. As part of the Student Services team, the role will encourage and support students to engage meaningfully in their education and achieve their personal goals, while also supporting staff to create and maintain safe and inclusive learning environments.
It’s a permanent full time role, based in Eaton, Bunbury. The annual salary range is $81,448 to $87,376.
