Deakin University: PhD scholarship opportunities

The Alfred Deakin Institute (Deakin University) currently has three PhD scholarship opportunities available in the areas of Indigenous art, history, cultural heritage, museum collections and anthropology.

The scholarships are open to international and domestic students.

Topics include:

  • Aboriginal objects in the art museum: Histories, issues and exhibitions (Gaye Sculthorpe, Tiffany Shellam and National Gallery of Victoria)

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander collections in museums (Gaye Sculthorpe)

  • Understanding re-engagements with Aboriginal cultural collections (Jason Gibson).
