Northern Land Council: Monitoring and Evaluation Project Officer

The Northern Land Council (NLC) is looking for a committed and skilled individual with qualifications and/or equivalent experience in social science, social research, community development or project management.

The NLC was established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act in 1976, to assist Aboriginal people in the Top End of the Northern Territory to acquire and manage their traditional lands, waters and seas.

The role

The Community Planning and Development (CP&D) program supports Aboriginal groups to negotiate, plan, fund and undertake their own development projects using an empowerment-based model.

The CP&D Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and providing guidance to continually improve the CP&D Program. They will work with groups to support negotiations, develop strategic plans and use income from land use agreements to achieve lasting social, cultural and economic benefits, and will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and providing guidance to continually improve the CP&D Program.
