Ms Vanessa Kickett has been appointed as the first female Noongar Chief Executive Officer of the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council (SWALSC).
A proud Noongar woman with more than 20 years of leadership, business development and community and stakeholder engagement, Ms Kickett has a long history in supporting and advocating for Noongar people.

Update on Noongar Charitable Trust
As a response to ongoing community concerns relating to Noongar Charitable Trust matters, SWALSC have reported the matter to the Ombudsman who have confirmed they will be investigating the matter under their powers pursuant to the new Charitable Trusts Act 2022.

This year's AIATSIS Summit will be held on Noongar boodja, co-convened by SWALSC. It will be held from 5 to 9 June, at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
AIATSIS are currently calling for papers, with the abstract submission portal closing soon, on 14 February 2023.
