An independent advocacy agency which advocates and protects the rights and best interests of, people living in aged care facilities, people receiving community care services; and people not currently receiving these services but who are eligible for them.

Jacaranda Community Centre
Set up due to the support within the Belmont and surrounding areas for an agency that offered more than financial counselling.

Aboriginal Hostel Limited
Has provided temporary accommodation services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people since 1973.

ARBOR
An outreach service providing support especially for people bereaved by suicide. If you have lost a loved one by suicide ARBOR can walk alongside you through this difficult time and provide additional support if needed.

Yorgum
Aims to offer Aboriginal people an autonomous, Aboriginal specific community based, counselling and referral service that acknowledges the impact of colonisation on Aboriginal people.

The Aboriginal Alcohol and Drug Service (AADS)
Formally known as Noongar Alcohol and Substance Abuse Service Inc. (NASAS), AADS is an Incorporated Body empowered to operate under the Associations and Incorporations Act of Western Australia 1987.

The Drug and Alcohol Office
The government agency responsible for drug and alcohol strategies and services in Western Australia.

Womens Health Services
Specialises in women's health issues, providing medical, counselling, drug and alcohol support, domestic violence, mental health and other health services for women and their families.

Relationships Australia (Western Australia) Inc
A non profit community service association providing a diverse range of innovative counselling, mediation, community education and professional development services, and which influences social policy formation.

The Telethon Institute for Child Health Research
Aboriginal children face a number of health and wellbeing hurdles before they are born. They are more likely to be born pre-term and at a lower birth weight: because of this they suffer higher rates of SIDS, infectious diseases and emotional and behavioural problems than non-Aboriginal children.

MercyCare
With a proud history dating back to 1846, the modern day MercyCare stands tall as a leading Catholic, health and community, not-for-profit organisation in Perth.

Peedac
The Community Support Service supports Indigenous community members and their families by providing links and referrals to a range of mainstream and Indigenous services which may include welfare and social support, family violence, health (including drug and alcohol services), housing, child care and legal.

Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service
An Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation, incorporated under State legislation in 1973.

Centrecare
With a not-for-profit status, Centrecare delivers quality professional counselling, support, family dispute resolution and training services.

Legal Yarn by Legal Aid Western Australia

The first legal, culturally safe telephone information service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, staffed by mob, for mob. You can talk about unpaid fines, Family Law issues, Child Protection matters, and any Criminal Law matters. Call 1800 319 803 weekdays between 9am and 4pm (except public holidays).

Indigenous Business Australia (IBA)
Providing the means for Indigenous Australians to create wealth and accumulate assets, take up mainstream investment opportunities, create business enterprises that provide additional employment opportunities, and purchase homes.

Indigenous Community Volunteers
Works in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and provides assistance in designing and implementing community development projects.

The Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC)
Aims to assist Indigenous people with land acquisition and land management to achieve economic, environmental, social and cultural benefits.


Councils and Government

National Native Title Tribunal
An Australian Commonwealth Government agency mediating native title claims under the direction of the Federal Court of Australia.

Federal Court of Australia
Makes determinations relating to native title.

The State Records Office of Western Australia
Holds a range of archival records relating to Noongar people.

The Western Australian Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (previously Department of Indigenous Affairs)
Responsible for planning Western Australia's communities and managing land and heritage assets.

The City of Joondalup
A region that covers an area of 99km square from beach to bushland.

Department of Indigenous Affairs
Engages with Indigenous Western Australians and all levels of Government to improve the delivery of services, to facilitate the development of policy and programs which deliver sustainable economic, environmental and social benefits to Indigenous communities.

City of Cockburn
Cockburn's original inhabitants were a Swan River tribe of Aborigines who made their campsites along the City's central chain of lakes to avoid the salty waters of the lakes nearer to the coast.
